how to make cole slaw

I’m a huge fan of Cole Slaw and I love the different varieties that are out there. This is my favourite to make simply because my mum taught me the recipe and it has a bit of tang and some sweet to it. When I was a kid growing up, my mum would make curry chicken, which is a dish that could get me to stop in mid drop kick in my brother’s chest with my, mouth-watering and praying silently as I rocked back and forth waiting to hear dinner’s ready. The constant side for this dish was cole slaw, this cole slaw. When I became a Chef, I often dug into my arsenal of home cooked recipes from my mum and gran. I hope you enjoy this recipe.

  9. [..YouTube..] @30galilea Sorry for the delay in this response. Yes, you can use lemon, but I would suggest a bit of fresh orange juice and some zest from both of them.

My daughter and I wrote a Cole-Slaw song, but not the eating kind. Hope you like.

  18. Right here is the right web site for anybody who wishes to understand this topic. You realize so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I personally would want to…HaHa). You certainly put a brand new spin on a subject that has been written about for many years. Great stuff, just great!

As a kid my daddy used to give me the core in a cut shape which tasted pretty sweet not bitter :/

Thanks for the video! I’m about to make my first attempt at coleslaw, and was sifting through youtube for info. Your video was the first one that didn’t cut corners and thoroughly explained the process. I’m definitly using this! Thanks again!

Good tips. I’m going to try some coleslaw with thin sliced apple, I like
the idea of the sweet apple, replacing the carrot. But was wondering, when
I mix my dressing should I use a little lemon juice to stop the apples from
turning brown? My dressing so far is, Mayo, apple cider vinegar, (maybe)
lemon juice, black pepper. I’m thinking with the right apples extra sugar
    won’t be necessary.
